Thema

Corruption is a global challenge, also for church related development organisations and mission organisations. Over the last decades, the international partner organisations have developped rules and concepts to prevent corruption and strengthen integrity in cooperation.
Since 2008, experts from church-related organisations have meet regularly at the Protestant Academy Bad Boll for conferences on combating corruption in church development cooperation. These expert meetings offer a protected space for exchange on the challenges in international cooperation of church-related mission and development organisations.
At the upcoming 5th conference in the "Courage for Transparency" series of events, the focus will be on international exchange with partner organisations. This time, international partners will work together on concepts for strengthening integrity and dealing with cases of corruption. Based on the concepts developped in the TI Working Group on Church Development Cooperation, specific areas of the fight against corruption have to be developped together: Corruption prevention, identification of specific risks, anti-corruption management systems.
The aim of the conference is to strengthen integration and to promote transparency in international cooperation through dialogue.
